About Me
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. –Neale Donald Walsch
Welcome to the 2020/2021 school year! I’m so excited for this school year and all of the learning and fun we will have!
I am a proud alumna of Union School District, I love teaching upper elementary and this is my 15th year at Guadalupe. I have two children: my daughter who is a recent college graduate and my son who attends college in San Diego. I also have a very sweet Golden Retriever, Phoebe, who we love playing with and taking for hikes. I enjoy spending time at the beach with my family and we are always on a quest for the best California Burrito! (hint: this may be a quiz question at Back to School Night! :)
I have taught the 4/5 combo class for the past four years, and am looking forward to being able to focus on just fourth grade this year. I have spent most of my career teaching fourth grade and I absolutely love the curriculum. Fourth grade students are fun to work with, show independence and personal responsibility, and it is truly special to watch the growth that occurs over the year as they become young adults.
Our success here at Guadalupe comes from our high level of experience and our strong collaboration. I meet regularly with the fourth grade teachers who are committed to working together to bring your child challenging, fun, and engaging curriculum. I can’t wait to meet my new students on Wednesday, August 12 and look forward to meeting all of the parents at Back to School Night on Monday, August 10. I hope to answer all of your questions about curriculum, distance learning schedules, and best ways to support your child during remote learning. Enjoy the last few hours of vacation and I will see you bright and early on Wednesday!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Dinsdale
