Aloha Breakfast Banana Bread recipe
June 7- 5th grade promotion/last day of school
Looking forward to seeing 5th grade families at promotion tomorrow. After the ceremony, there will be cake and juice and then you are able to check out your student for the day! 4th grade will be dismissed at 12:15.
Thank you to all of the volunteers at all of this week's activities. We had a nice Aloha Breakfast today in honor of Naomi who is moving to Hawaii! Best of luck to their family in their move this summer! I have linked the recipe for your summer baking! Have a wonderful summer!
As we enter into the last few weeks of school, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank some parents who have helped out in our classroom this year! First, thank you to our art vista docents, Mrs. Bodankin and Mr. Chen for facilitating awesome art projects and for all of their hard work in displaying the projects so beautifully at the art show on Friday! Thank you as well to Mrs. Hattarki and Mrs. Gotz for helping students create wonderful, imaginative ceramic projects. Additionally, Mrs. Gotz led all of our important Project Cornerstone lessons on character education. Finally, Mrs. Hattarki and Mrs. Netchitailo for their work as room parents and organizing class parties. Our class is extremely grateful for your time and talent! We will celebrate our volunteers at our annual Volunteer Tea on Friday, May 31 at 7:30 am. Please join the Guadalupe staff as we recognize and appreciate your time and all that you do!
With testing over, we are still busy finishing up math units, science lessons, novels, and social studies reports. We look forward to sharing all of our hard work at Open House next Wednesday, May 22. I hope to see you all there!
Finally, the last week of school will be busy with grade level activities and 5th grade promotion. I know that we will need volunteers for these events, so please check your calendars and look for emails from room parents regarding opportunities.
Have a great week!
